When most people think about organizing, creating a plan for office organization or kitchen organization seems to be much more commonplace than working in the garage. However, your garage probably needs just as much organizational help as the rest of your home, so try not to leave it out when devising a plan for de-cluttering your life and getting yourself and your home organized!
Your garage organization plan will provide a great place for storage, which means it would be helpful to have lots of extra room for storage shelves, hanging racks and other storage solutions so that you can use your garage to better organize other parts of your home. The garage is a great place to store anything you do not want to get rid of, but do not have an adequate place for within the home. So the first thing that you should do is to weed out anything you want to give away, throw away or sell. Then reorganize your garage, focusing on what you do want to keep. Separate everything into categories, pairing like with like to better utilize your storage space. When you’re finished, you should have extra room on the floor, shelves and hanging from the ceiling to help you organize the rest of your home as well.
